FAQ

The Occupant Protection System (OPS) is a modular, NIJ-certified ballistic seat system that replaces standard vehicle seats with integrated armor. It protects the occupant — not the vehicle — from rifle fire, fragmentation, and blast events, offering military-grade survivability at a fraction of the cost of traditional armoring.
Every OPS seat meets or exceeds NIJ Standard 0108.01 Class III, tested and certified to defeat 7.62×39mm and 7.62×51mm rifle rounds and fragmentation threats. A Class IV upgrade is available for missions requiring additional protection.
Yes. OPS has been independently tested by CRANE Small Arms Ammunition & Testing Branch and validated under NIJ standards. It has also undergone field testing by U.S. and allied special operations, law enforcement, and border security units.
OPS provides the same level of personal protection as a fully armored vehicle — but at roughly 1/40th of the cost. It installs in minutes, can move from one vehicle to another, and maintains the vehicle’s factory appearance and performance.
Yes. OPS seats are designed as drop-in replacements for most commercial and fleet vehicles. Universal mounting kits allow installation using standard hand tools in about 30 minutes per seat
No permanent modifications are needed. OPS installs using the factory bolt locations and standard seatbelt mounts. The system can be removed and reinstalled in another vehicle as needed.
Absolutely. OPS seats are designed to integrate with existing airbag, restraint, and sensor systems without disabling OEM safety functions.
OPS offers custom fabric, leather, and tactical nylon covers, available in covert, law-enforcement, or executive styles. All covers are abrasion, flame, and UV tested and can include agency insignia or branding.
